The Annual Fore The Kids Golf Classic
set for Saturday May 30, 2020
We will keep you updated on a new date
“As disappointing as this is for everyone, our number one priority is the health and safety of the community as well as the fans, volunteers, players and sponsors of the tournament,” said Renea Louie Tournament Chairman since 2002 and CEO of the event.
She went on to say, “Despite the cancellation, the Fore The Kids volunteer team remains focused on its mission to raise the needed funds for The Incredible Kids Fund that serves over 1,000 children in Douglas County and will be working to determine new ways to continue to make a positive impact on the community and the program as we move forward. We are unsure if we will hold the event in Fall 2020 or simply look to 2021 for the next event."
Louie closed with "All of our sponsors, players and volunteers have been loyal and wonderful to the event for years and we promise to always be loyal to them, now more than ever as they face unprecedented challenges."
When the event returns, following is what you have to look forward to:

If you have ever golfed in this long time community charity event, you know it's no ordinary day of golf. Special traditions keep you laughing and having fun all day long.
Get ready for the shotgun and off you go on an 18 hole adventure and maybe a little golfing too.
What's the fastest you have ever golfed a hole? Put your heads together to win this challenge. You might need marshmallows to finish a hole or two, just sayin.
Need a snack? We have hosts with delicious delectable treats on the course, sponsored by Businesses we know and love including The Pink House, Neuro4Kids, Record Courier. No one goes hungry while golfing at this event.
So you think you can putt with your driver pretty good? We shall see. This and many other antics are in store for your team. Enjoy the fun and games while winning prizes along the way.
HOSTED LUNCH AND ENTERTAINMENT
When you return after your 18 hole round of fun, you will be welcomed back by energetic volunteers who are ready to spoil you.
Enjoy great live music, browse raffle prizes, bid on silent auction items, and be prepared to enjoy a delicious hosted lunch sponsored by award winning Chicago Mike's Pizza and Continuum Packing Solutions and the good company of the golfers as they roll in.
Learn who the big winners of the day are and cheer them on. Over 100 sponsors are there to make sure you have a great day of fun, games to shave strokes off your final score and more. You may even go home with a brand new car from Title Sponsor Michael Hohl, where it's all about you!
Mosey on over to the driving range for the ever popular Annual Fore The Kids BULLSEYE game hosted by PGA Head Pro, Chris Detsch. He will challenge you to hit the target for big prizes. If you don't hit the target as close as you hoped, no worries, there is no limit to how many times you can try.
World Longest Drive Champions Troy Teal and Heather Mandredda were our special guests at the 2019 tournament
WHY IT ALL MATTERS
Proceeds benefit the Incredible Kids Fund serving youth countywide.
The Incredible Kids Fund has funded over $170,000 in annual passes for Douglas County youth to have a membership at the Douglas County Carson Valley Community Center and Kahle Community Center serving ages 7-18. Over 4,500 youth have benefited from the program.
The program welcomes all youth regardless of ability to pay. We want all youth at the Community Centers to have fun, make friends, participate in healthy sports and learn healthy habits.
The tournament and Incredible Kids fund also are in partnership with the Sheriff’s Department and Carson Valley Medical Center providing a safe and healthy environment that kids want to be.
All of these programs empower youth to use their strengths to be their best and learn, play and grow. Please consider being part of this fun event…it is all "Fore the Kids"!
